What differentiates Collibra Platform from other similar products?

Collibra is distinct from others because its approach prioritises on effectively governing, cataloguing and managing an enterprise data. Its integrated offering brings together the data catalogue, lineage, governing processes and collaborative tools, which empowers businesses to improve their data trust whilst complying with regulatory requirements and supporting business decisions.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I would say that Data Catalog is surely the feature that I love most because it eases discovery of trusted data significantly. Without this, users have to waste time identifying what data they’re looking for and where and can understand much better why they are using the data.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The setup can be very time consuming and a few of the admin functionalities are not obvious when starting with the system. Users might need to undergo a few training sessions before they are fluent with all governance tools available within the platform.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

From a firm understanding of their enterprise data governance implementation goals, to including business stakeholders and technical IT stakeholders in the process from conception to implementation and rollout, and to thoughtful and well-executed change management planning, Collibra can indeed be an extremely powerful tool for governing enterprise data.
