Confluence great tool for knowledge management

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

It has a unique dashboard which can help better build and customized document sharing, collaboration, and editing. Other competing products like sharepoint and GitBook though provide dashboards but lack similar functionality. Customization of dashboard is easy and can be done by the IT department in the organization. No specialized vendor is needed to do such a service

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The integration with other collaboration and repository tools is quite easy. It is doable and makes document sharing quite easy. The other aspect is communication tools to communicate with other team members on customization of documents. The tool is quite effective for rights management, and it is workable to build better documentation for managing copyright for the property.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Navigation is a big issue in this product, it takes a lot to train a new user on how to navigate through this software. The user interface requires an upgrade. Also, version updates are not frequent.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The product is efficient in document sharing and can work well for large organizations with high needs of document sharing and editing.

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

Confluence is great because it enables users to build a website-type interface. It can be used as a knowledge catalog, procedure bank, visual reporting, and more.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The ability to insert a macro to show Tableau visuals.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some things aren't intuitive or buggy. Like if you want to create a new page by copying an old one, the macro doesn't always copy over.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It's a great tool that is pretty easy to self-learn.
