Power Query is a data transformation and data preparation engine. Power Query comes with a graphical interface for getting data from sources and a Power Query Editor for applying transformations. Because the engine is available in many products and services, the destination where the data will be stored depends on where Power Query was used. Using Power Query, you can perform the extract, transform, and load (ETL) processing of data.

It is as "next step" from the Excel perspective, it works as a trail for data analysis!

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The fact that there is many people developing solutions with it. Really easy to find support in the community!

What do you dislike most about this product?

The fact that it does not support wildcard functions for strings.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you don't already use it, you are trapped in the middle ages!

What differentiates Microsoft Power Query from other similar products?

Microsoft Power Query Editor is one of the most powerful platform for cleaning the dirty data, it can handle n numbers of transformation very easily.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Creating Calculated columns using DAX is one of the most important feature of power query.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It require a system with high specs or else the Power BI desktop application gets slow to create data transformation and cleaning on Power Query.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

One of the best platform to clean the ambiguity in dirty data, we just need to know the DAX code for better customisation.
