More user-friendly, better integrations

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Microsoft Teams integrates with our other softwares (Outlook, ServiceNow, Sharepoint, Copilot) better than Slack. I much prefer using Teams, as the data is integrated.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like that my calendar is synced between Outlook and Teams. It makes for a more integrated work day.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I wish the Teams vs. Chats were more integrated. I use chats 99% of the time. For the Teams (groups) in the product, I frequently miss communications because they live elsewhere .

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Don't straddle the line by using 2 or more instant messaging apps. Get your department to fully adopt Teams as the messaging app. You won't regret it!

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing

Teams the go to Chat/Video Call application

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

As users of Office 365, Teams offer easier integration into our environment. It also means that billing etc can all be managed under one company. Also as a leading edge company Teams always seems to be at the forefront of new features.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Already love the transcript part when in meetings but now with Copilot built in, it allows that transcript to be condensed and formatted so that they key points are easy to read.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The lack of calendar integration from more than one account.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Just make sure that it is a good fit for what you need. In that it does everything you want and that you have the team to support it once installed.

Pros

  • Reliable
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Enables Productivity
  • Efficient Service

Cons

  • Vendor Friendly Policies
  • Vendor's Interest First
  • Less Generous

Worthwhile if you are a MS365 company.

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

It has deeper integration with other MS365 apps than any other similar product - although these integrations I feel could be deeper.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Asynchronous messaging, video calls, screensharing, calendar link with Outlook.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It still feels like it is only 80% complete in terms of integrating into the full MS Office Suite.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are a Microsoft organisation then MS Teams is a no brainer - I wouldn't see the need for purchasing an alternative. If you are not a MS365 organisation (e.g. do not rely on microsoft office) you may want to consider demoing other platforms or other Teams alternatives. Overall teams does not disappoint and comes with a MS365 license.

Pros

  • Efficient Service
  • Respectful
  • Includes Product Enhancements
  • Helps Innovate

Cons

  • Slower Product Innovation
  • Less Caring
  • Vendor Friendly Policies
