What is SureMDM by 42Gears?

SureMDM by 42Gears is an intuitive and powerful Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solution to secure, monitor, and manage Android, iOS/iPadOS, Windows, Linux, macOS, Wear OS, Chrome OS, and VR devices. Additionally, SureMDM supports the management of rugged handhelds and mobile computing devices manufactured by various OEMs. It can also help manage “not so smart” devices such as scanners, printers, sensors right from the console with 42Gears’ SureMDM Things Management Technology. Also, SureMDM offers a few pre-configured Plugins to simplify complex administrative functions and customize the console experience.

Easy to install and pricing is very good - Works on almost any mobile device

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Surelock enables me to lockdown my mobile devices

What do you dislike most about this product?

Can be tough to learn how to change this in the MDM portal

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Integrate some sort of AI so that it can help with the changes or settings in die MDM portal

What differentiates SureMDM by 42Gears from other similar products?

Platform is straightforward compared with other EMM tools I have used. The console is intuitive and very easy to navigate, policies are not overly complicated to set up with jobs and policies clear enough for even no IT users. Device controls are practical for day-to-day management as well.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It's the simplicity of managing devices from one screen. The interface is intuitive, and common tasks like pushing apps, applying policies, tracking devices, and troubleshooting remotely are easy to find from the top control panel. It saves time because the workflows are clear and I do not have to search in too many menus to complete basic admin tasks.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I want to see the reporting and customization experience being imporved. Some reports could be more flexible, and certain advanced settings may take a little time to understand at first. It is not a major blocker, but improving the guidance around advanced features would make the product even easier.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take the time to plan your device groups, policies, and user roles before rolling out to all devices. The product is easy to use, but a clean setup makes ongoing management much easier. I can also suggest testing the main features with a small batch of devices first so your team can confirm the policies, apps, and remote support workflows match your organization’s needs.

What differentiates SureMDM by 42Gears from other similar products?

42 Gears are among a few key MDM players - I think the key difference will be the actual people you are working with that makes the real difference. I like the fact that a role out is seamless and support is so good!

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The flexibility of SureLock and how it makes it easy to customise devices while still keeping full control over how they’re used

What do you dislike most about this product?

To be honest, I haven’t really found anything I dislike about the product at this stage

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I’d recommend giving it a proper try and trusting the process, as you start to see the value once everything is set up
