What differentiates Productboard from other similar products?

Productboard is highly flexible to cover all potential activities a product organization may need: feedback collection, backlog prioritization, roadmap presentation, etc.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Capturing product insights and being able to tag them to relevant features is invaluable to my small company. It's so easy to collect feedback that we were able to train our whole sales team to use the tooling and were able to cover a lot more customer conversations

What do you dislike most about this product?

With so much flexibility, the tool can be daunting as there are endless ways to set it up.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

You will need a strong leader to implement processes and best practices, as the information stored in Productboard can get messy pretty quickly

What differentiates Productboard from other similar products?

Productboard is designed for product teams. Is not a generic tasks management tool, or a user story tool created for developers. Is a software that allows you to capture ideas from customers and your team, transform them into requirements and pass it down to engineering teams, but keeping the information open for the whole organization

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The ability to share roadmaps with the organisation without paying extra users. People can subscribe to features, see the release dates and be aware of what's happening with your roadmap without losing information in the process.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I felt there wasn't an easy way to "play with roadmaps". Basically to make scenarios of "what happens if this feature gets delayed". Also, it lacked translation to other languages. That's not an issue in the software itself, but it is an issue in the Portal functionality, which enables a public website for your customers to interact with you.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Use it to build your roadmap and organize your future vision. Don't use it for developers to work on it. Complement it with Jira or other task management tool, so sprints and the daily work is somewhere else, but is synced with Productboard.
