Uninterrupted collaboration for creatives.

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

i switched from google meet because the collaboration tools available are just in a deeper level. zoom work place is best cause it brings white boards and shared documents right into the meeting window. we can actually work on a design together while we're talking instead of switching back and forth between tabs. it feels like a real space instead of just a video calling app.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Being able to make ideas with the ai right on the board helps to get through creative blocks. being able to use the video clips feature to send quick updates to the team without having to hop on a live call is also great for keeping the communication flowing and not cluttering up my calendar.

What do you dislike most about this product?

the notifications get a little overwhelming.if you're in a lot of channels, the pings are constant and it takes a while to fine-tune the "do not disturb" settings to a point where they aren't distracting.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

i highly suggest this for creative teams or startups who need to brainstorm a lot smell way more than just a meeting tool, it is a productivity powerhouse.

The connectivity with other tools like outlook, excel, word etc also you have to onedrive, sharepoint for your file or document storage. You can work on all of these tools without leaving teams in real time only.

The ultimate global instant messaging.

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Global business instant messaging arena is its unmatched security architecture and stringent compliance certifications. While other apps only concentrate on speed, this platform ensures that information that is considered confidential and being shared between international businesses is completely secure. Its powerful combo of information barriers and complex e-discovery capabilities make them the only logical choice for massive, highly regulated multinational enterprises with high global collaboration demands.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

We strongly appreciate the high degree of customization that can be made for individual user profiles and status messages. In a global distributed workforce with several hours of differences between us and our colleagues across the world, communicating our precise availability and current time zone to them is absolutely essential. The fact that i can schedule certain messages outside my office hours and customize notification routing depending on my working hours makes it possible to have a remarkably healthy work-life balance even though i'm interacting with teams across the world on an almost daily basis.

What do you dislike most about this product?

One of the points that i found most frustrating is that the experience across different platforms is not very consistent. The web browser version does not provide all the essential features of the dedicated desktop application, especially when it comes to advanced video conferencing settings and screen sharing complex options. Furthermore, the mobile application, while generally reliable, sometimes times fail to push urgent instant messaging notifications in a timely manner, which is a massive liability when dealing with such time sensitive corporate crisis spanning over multiple global time zones.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For large multinational corporations, enforce the use of the fully-featured desktop application to guarantee that all employees have access to the full range of the collaboration tools. Have strict data retention policies early on to manage the massive volume of global live-instant messaging history. Encourage your international workforce to strictly update their status messages to create respect for different working hours to avoid unnecessary communication across corporate mails after office hours too.

Pros

  • Performance Enhancing
  • Saves Time
  • Fair
  • Acts with Integrity

Cons

  • Slower Product Innovation
  • Vendor Friendly Policies
  • Less Transparent
