Making project management effortless

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

I use teams primarily as a project management tool. it's better than using something like asana or trello, because my files are already there. the best thing about it is the tabs feature, of each channel. by putting our project timeline, our budget sheet, and our creative brief right at the top i means that there's never an excuse for a member of my team to tell me that they couldn't find the file. it creates a very high level of accountability.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I really like activity feed. we are like activity news feed for our work, and we can see every time someone mentions us or like our post or reply to our thread. helps us to prioritize what needs our attention first thing in the morning. integration with microsoft forms is also great to poll team quickly depending on a decision, a lot faster than creating a survey link and waiting for the responses trickle in to my inbox.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The file management interface inside teams is basically just a simplified look at sharepoint. it can be a bit clunky. sometimes it is easier to just open in sharepoint and do more complex file movements or bulk deletes.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This is a fantastic tool for project leads that want to have it all in one bucket. less of that so called tool fatigue of switching between 5 different apps. i recommend this tool for any team that values the idea of having a single source of truth for their projects.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Trustworthy
  • Client's Interest First
  • Effective Service

Simplified my daily routine significantly.

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

I used to spend hours on email and now much of my work gets done in teams. It is the best because it makes communication seem so much more casual and immediate. It’s better than email because you get answers in seconds instead of days. It has made us much faster in our decision making process and much more agile as a team.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

In addition to the mentions feature i would use that a lot because it helps getting people attention without annoying. One is the 'activity' feed, which helps see. What i miss while we were away. I also like how i can pin pinned important messages to the top of a channel for all to see. That mobile app is quite responsive as well.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its method of managing threads can feel a little confusing if no one responds to the message in question. I also wish there was a better way to filter out thank you, or ok messages in my notifications the desktop app is buggy sometimes (after a new update).

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This is a great option for just about any team looking to escape the slow momentum of email. It reduces the friction of communication, making it much more natural and efficient. It is an amazing tool for everyone whom want to make its teams more responsive and productive.

  • Continually Improving Product
